Vintage books reflect the passage of time. Old books are valuable for their historical significance and development. It combines education and entertainment. It boasts an extensive history, beginning with logging on various materials and advancing to paper, where increasingly more information has been collected and handed down to the current day.
In general, a rare book library is a collection of old books of historical significance. Most are housed in special collections at the Library of Congress, university libraries, and specialty libraries such as the Siam Society. However, rare book collections are not commonly well established as private libraries in Thailand like Mr.Thongchai Likhitpornsawan, for example. This article describes the narrative of the impressions of his book-loving philosophy and the inspiration for establishing Tonchabab Library. From a passion and affection for books and archives that has evolved into a major commitment, to a knowledge of archived materials and how to obtain and share information that has provided advantages in facilitating research work. Along with its collection of rare books, the Tonchabab Library can be considered a great resource for historical information in Thailand and a source of information for investigating historical archival works, as well is the rare book collection in a library.
This article honors the founder of the Tonchabab Library's inspiration and dedication. Included are some examples of rare historical books, rare publications, and rare vintage photographs.
