Guidelines for promoting lifelong learning and digital citizenship

According to Thailand Literacy Seminar 2025 : Literacy for Lifelong Learning and Digital Citizenship. Lifelong learning is a fundamental mechanism of human existence across all age groups, inherent from birth until the end of life. In today's ever-changing world, a crucial skill is reading, encompassing both printed materials and online content. Particularly for online reading, it is essential to learn techniques to effectively comprehend core content, read critically, and avoid being unduly influenced or manipulated by technological means. Literacy extends beyond merely the ability to learn and read; it also encompasses essential life skills for navigating society, technological literacy, financial literacy, and digital citizenship. Digital citizenship involves the concepts and practices that empower citizens to learn and utilize digital technologies judiciously. This includes skills in self-management and self-regulation, an awareness of and the ability to protect oneself from the various risks associated with digital technology use, respect for one's own and others' rights, as well as demonstrating social responsibility and empathy towards others.
