This study aimed to: (1) develop a mini book for learning Thai for foreign learners through Phuket local cuisine, and (2) examine the satisfaction of beginner-level foreign learners toward the developed mini book. The research employed a research and development approach. The participants consisted of 10 foreign learners who were interested in learning Thai at the beginner level and were selected through voluntary sampling. The research instruments included a mini book for learning Thai through Phuket local cuisine and a learner satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. The results revealed that: (1) the developed mini book demonstrated the overall quality at the highest level (x̄ = 4.74, S.D. = 0.40); and (2) the learners’ overall satisfaction toward the mini book was also at the highest level (x̄ = 4.70, S.D. = 0.48). The findings indicate that learning materials integrating Thai language content with local cultural contexts, particularly Phuket local cuisine, can effectively support Thai language learning for foreign learners and promote their understanding of both language and local culture.Downloads
