Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows. 1) To study the basic information and the necessity of the development of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills of the students. 2) To draft the basic information and the necessity of the development of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area. 3) To try out the basic information and the necessity of the development of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area. 4) To estimate and to visualize the lessons learned of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area. The target group consisted of the grade 6 students; 1st semester, academic year 2020. The 18 grade 6 students of room 1 were selected by using the simple group sampling method. The research tools consisted of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area, the estimation forms of the suitability of the model, the test forms of academic achievement, the estimation forms of the reading and writing skills and the estimation forms of the students’ satisfactions. The information used for analyzing was from the percent value, the average value, the standard deviation, T-Test statistics and the content analyzing.

The results of the research showed as follows. 1) According to the study of the basic information, the school should quickly improve the students’ knowledge of the 1st learning module (reading) and the 2nd  learning module (writing)in order to deal with reading difficulties, wrong pronunciation, reading-comprehension difficulties and lack of writing skill. 2) The Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area students was drafted by using the approach of “PCAT Model” that consisted of the following items. (1) Preparation (2) Cooperative Learning (3) Active Learning (4) Transportability Knowledge The estimation of the model components specifying was of high average and the result of the test for the effective value of the 30 students was 80.22/81.78. 3) According to the try out the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills in the learning area of Thai language of the  grade 6 students, the effective value was 82.64/83.70. 4) The results of the estimation and the development of the Active Learning management model concerning parts of speech in order to improve the reading and writing skills of the students were as follows.   (1) The learning achievement results of the pre and post learning were 11.61 and 25.11 respectively and the comparison between the pre and post learning presented the different result with statistical significance. (2) The result of the reading and writing estimation was of high level. (3) The overall result of the estimation of the students’ satisfaction was of high level.
