Abstract

The research on reading promotion in school libraries aims to assess the performance of librarians in engaging reading promotion activities. The main goal is to create reading habits and develop lifelong learners' characteristics in the learners. This article presents the material on action research in the school library, issues on promoting reading in school library standards, research context on reading promotion, and research issues on the promotion of reading in Thailand. It also presents information obtained from the synthesis of research findings on the issue of student reading behavior, guidelines for promoting reading, and the effect of reading promotion activities.
