Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to find: (1) Moral principles involved in pastoral care of HIV-affected children: Sarnelli House Project, Nongkhai, Thailand. (2) The guidelines for pastoral care of HIV-affected children, Sarnelli House, Nongkhai, Thailand.
          The fourtheen informants for study about Moral principles in pastoral care of HIV-affected children: included from those in charge of Sarnelli House Project from Sarnelli House Project.  The ten experts for the study about the guidelines for pastoral care of HIV-affected children, Sarnelli House. selected specifically, Data analysis used content analysis.
          The result of the study were:
          1. Sarnelli House Project takes care of children who are affected by HIV based guided by moral values rooted in love, compassion, human dignity as children of God. The pastoral care exhibits the virtues of hope, love, compassion, honesty, justice, patience, prudence, empathy and forgiveness, sharing responsibility with the intention of devoting attention to both physical and psychological dimensions, as well as education and vocational training. It cultivates morality in children affected by HIV with respect to the value of human dignity.
          2. The guidelines for pastoral care of HIV-affected children at Sarnelli House, Nongkhai, Thailand: 1) Ethics should be cultivated in the staff, who in turn pass it on to the children. 2) The children should have an opportunity to join more morality or Dharma camps. 3) The staff should be helped to develop the knowledge and skills required. 4) Cooperation in the development of various activities with outside agencies should be coordinated. 5) There should be regular planning and self-evaluation.
