Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Online Herbal Dietary Supplement Ordering Services Among Older Adults: A Case Study of Thailand Post Company in the Lower Central Region

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1. to investigate the personal characteristics of older adults using online herbal dietary supplement ordering services; 2. to examine the level of acceptance of online herbal dietary supplement ordering services among older adults; 3. to analyze the factors influencing the acceptance of online services of Thailand Post Company among older adults; and 4. to propose guidelines for developing online services of Thailand Post Company to be suitable for older adults. Relevant theories and literature were reviewed. The sample group consisted of 400 residents in Nonthaburi Province, Bangkok. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistical analyses included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, and F-test, with a statistical significance level of 0.05. The results were presented in descending order and discussed. The findings revealed that: 1. The majority of users were female older adults with a secondary education level or higher and an average income sufficient for online herbal dietary supplement purchases. 2. Ease of use and data security significantly influenced the use of online herbal dietary supplement ordering services. 3. Ease of use and attitude towards usage significantly influenced the acceptance of online services of Thailand Post Company. 4. The development of online services for this user group should prioritize simplicity, accessibility, building trust, and meeting their specific needs.
