The purpose of this research aimed to study level of transcultural competency and comparison of transcultural competency in nurses who have different in levels of education, different ages, transcultural nursing policy and patient departments in one affiliated private hospital in Bangkok. Convenience sampling method was used to recruit 225 professionals’ nurses. The tools were questionnaires about general information, transcultural policy and transcultural nursing competency which had reliability 0.95 and 0.98 respectively. The statistics used in this research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and One-way Anova. The findings found that mean average of transcultural policy was at a high level ( = 3.64, SD. = .58). Transcultural competency in professional nurses who had difference in level of ages, and patient departments were not different significantly. (p –value < .05) But professional nurses who had differences in levels of education and differences in transcultural nursing policy had different transcultural nursing competencies at a significantly at 0.5 level. This research suggested that the nursing administration should promote nurses to study at a higher level than only the undergraduate level, develop focus on programs, and study the research about factors effecting transcultural nursing.
