Abstract

The research objectives of the study were to examine (1) the personal factors that affected the leadership changes on local administration in Nakhon Pathom province (2) the personal factors that affected the efficacy of local administration in Nakhon Pathom province and (3) the correlation between the leadership changes and the efficacy of local government administration in Nakhon Pathom province.  The sample size in the study was 340 persons. The research instruments included a set of questionnaires with 5 different levels. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, median, deviation, coefficient, simple linear regression analysis, Pearson correlation and inferential statistics analysis. In addition, the qualitative research was carried out by interviewing, note-taking, and documentation collection. Then, content analysis was done and descriptive research presentation was presented. The findings revealed that the personal factors in terms of gender, age, educational level, responsibilities, and working duration had a correlation with the leadership changes with the local administration in Nakhon Pathom province. The personal factors in terms of age, responsibilities and working duration had a correlation with the efficacy of local administration in Nakhon Pathom province at statistical significance of 0.05. Moreover, the leadership changes in terms of ideological influences and inspiration creation had a correlation with the efficacy of local administration in Nakhon Pathom province in the same direction at statistical significance of 0.05, as did the leadership changes in terms of individual differences in the same direction at statistical significance of 0.01.
