Abstract

This article aims to: (1) the Situation of food consumption of Myanmar migrant workers in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. (2) Life Quality of food consumption of Myanmar migrant workers in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Mixed methods, qualitative information from in-depth interviews with 21 key purposive informants; Myanmar migrant workers, Thai friends, employers and government officers were also used to voice their views. Quantitative, Questionnaires were used to collect data from 350 Myanmar migrant workers. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed as follows: (1) the Situation of food consumption of Myanmar migrant workers in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province; Myanmar migrant workers can buy vegetables, fruits and meat from fresh markets and food trailers. Myanmar migrant workers can eat new clean food. Able to exchange integrated food consumption culture with local, but still maintain food consumption culture of Myanmar migrant workers on themselves concurrently. (2) Life Quality of food consumption of Myanmar migrant workers in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province; Life Quality of food consumption in the high level ( = 3.67, S.D. = 0.58)
