Abstract

The purpose of this research was as follows (1) study relations between India and China in 1991 – 2014 (2) study factors those effect to cooperation and conflict between India and China in 1991 – 2014. This study employs qualitative research methodology in descriptive analysis both primary sources of data and secondary sources of data. The analysis of primary sources of data has studied document from declaration, keynote people’s speech and interviews. Moreover, researcher analysts document from books, academic researches, thesis, articles from journal and website both in Thai and English. This study revealed that (1) after the post cold war, the global setting presents a new world order within which a variety of actors, international organization, economy and globalization more than political-military. India and China relations are focusing on their well-being national interest (2) Although border issue remains the principle contention between India and China, they also try to solve this problem through cooperation in multilateral organization (3) 21st century, India and China are rising power in Asia. They are looking for energy resources which are critical for the growth of modern economy. The foreign policies of India and China aim at securing energy resources in order to sustain their robust economic growth. Hence, they can’t avoid their competitive relations.
