A Synthesis of Thesis and Master Project of Master Degree in Education in Educational Administration, Eastern Asia University

This survey research aimed to achieve two main objectives: (1) categorizing and (2) synthesizing research conducted by students in the Master of Education program, specifically in the field of Education Administration at Eastern Asia University. The research employed two primary methods, characterization, and research synthesis. The scope of this study encompassed theses and master projects conducted between the years 2004 and 2021, since the inception of the program. The research 1) yielded a total of 151 research papers, 115 theses, and 36 master projects, indicating a significant volume of research undertaken by students in the Master of Education program at Eastern Asia University. Upon 2) synthesizing the contents and issues addressed in the research, the majority of studies fell under the category of "other categories, " which suggests a diverse range of research topics and issues explored by students. In terms of research tools, questionnaires, interviews, and tests were the most commonly used instruments for data collection. Additionally, data analysis predominantly relied on basic statistics, emphasizing the utilization of quantitative data to draw meaningful conclusions. This example of research synthesis can serve as a guide to identify research trends, gaps, and potential areas for further exploration.
