Abstract

Teaching the Noble Qur’an is the best importance in building the Muslim community, but the reality in Pattani province has problems in which students suffer from teaching the Noble Qur’an because some of the students are not able to read the Noble Qur’an in a correct and quality manner and they are not proficient in writing its verses. To change its meanings, and from this point of view, this study came to reveal the reality of the curriculum of teaching the Noble Qur’an in mosques in the state of Pattani, southern Thailand, from the point of view of the organizers and teachers there. The study aims to show some of the educational curriculum of the Holy Qur’an and to highlight the curriculum for teaching the Holy Qur’an in mosques in Pattani, as well as diagnosing problems for teaching the Holy Qur’an faced by the Muslim community in Pattani, while striving to develop perceptions to solve those problems. This study used the descriptive, analytical and historical method in collecting information and interviewing personalities that are relevant to the topic.


The researcher reached the most important results: that learning and teaching the Noble Qur’an is a great virtue. There is the teaching of the Qur’an in an old way (the Baghdadi way) and the new way is (the al Nuraniyyah way, Qira’ati, Iqra’, Qur’ani and Tilawati) and there is also an education curriculum for studying the Noble Qur’an and a curriculum for teaching and memorizing the Noble Qur’an. The curriculum of teaching the Noble Qur’an in most mosques prefer the curriculum of teaching Qira’ati, and some mosques are concerned with memorizing and teaching the meanings of the Qur’anic verses together, and the practical application of them and advocacy for them. Teaching methods and the use of educational aids have a significant impact on students’ understanding of their reading, and the family has a great role in students’ superiority and success in reciting the Noble Qur’an, and the shortcomings facing both the educational administration, teachers and students were caused by the lack of correct application of the agreed upon conditions that were proven by education experts and education. At the end of the study, the researcher recommends the need to take into account individual differences to choose the appropriate method for teaching the Noble Qur’an between skilled students and beginners, and to provide a comprehensive study of the curriculum used in teaching the Noble Qur’an, as well as a comprehensive study of the best ways and means that facilitate the correct and quality reading of the Noble Qur’an, and to pay attention to educational research in The field of teaching the Holy Qur’an, which leads to the emergence of new technologies in building the correct methods of teaching the Holy Qur’an, and conducting a study aimed at developing the methods of teaching the Holy Qur’an in line with the current data, training teachers and holding continuous training courses in the field of teaching the Holy Qur’an.
