A Causal Model of Innovative trust on Innovative Work Behavior: The Mediating Role of Employee Work Passion

Abstract

       This research investigated the antecedent and mediating factor of innovative work behavior. The objectives of this study were to study innovation trust the effects of innovation factor on employee work passion and innovative work behavior. The sample size of the study in total were 380 respondents from the employees in the information and communications technology (ICT) companies listed on Stock Exchange of Thailand in the year 2016 which were obtained by using a multi-stage cluster random sampling technique. The result of this study were 1) the innovation trust has direct effect to innovative work behavior 2) the innovation trust has indirect effect to innovative work behavior through employee work passion. The results showed that the causal model was valid and fit well with the empirical data. Therefore, innovation trust was important for enhancing employee work passion and innovative work behavior. The results of this study suggest that for enhancing innovative work behavior, the organization should enhance the innovation trust for stimulate employee work passion and innovative work behavior.
