Network Development of a Community Enterprise Management in the Songkhla Lake Basin
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to (1) study guidelines for network development of community enterprise management, (2) study opportunities and the possibility of network connection, and (3) develop a network model of community enterprise management in the Songkhla Lake Basin.
This study was qualitative. The population was a community enterprise group in the Songkhla Lake Basin, represented by the sampling of 130 entrepreneurs in the area. Data collection was done through group discussion, brainstorming, and joint activities. Almost all data were analysed using content analysis with inductive analysis techniques, under the group-to-group network format and the network format that contains the central organization.
The results of the study showed that the guidelines for building a management network of community enterprises in the Songkhla Lake Basin must be as follows: Firstly, central organizations should get involved in the networking procedure with the participation of relevant parties. Secondly, the network of community enterprises should be expanded. Thirdly, the network relationship must be developed. Finally, there must be cooperation in the network. In addition, the factor that can connect networks is a knowledge network. This mechanism is created by the cooperation of many agencies. Two main factors can create opportunities and possibilities for network linking: (1) a one-to-one relationship of the enterprise groups, and (2) networking through intermediaries, on the condition that the operation must be performed with facilitators. The model for network management of the local community enterprise group is classified as that of a knowledge management network, with the relevant government agencies or educational institutions being the first units to coordinate them.
