About the Journal
The Journal of Administration, Organization, and Development (JAOD) (Formerly: Hatyai Academic Journal: HAJ) operates under the support of Hatyai University. The journal began publishing academic works in 2003 in print format (ISSN: 1686-1868) and discontinued its print edition to fully transition into an online journal format in 2024 (e-ISSN: 2651-1614).
Effective from Vol. 25 No. 1 (January – April 2027) onwards, the journal officially publishes under the title Journal of Administration, Organization, and Development (JAOD) to enhance publication standards and promote global knowledge sharing.
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Administration, Organization, and Development (JAOD) is an academic journal dedicated to promoting the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly knowledge from researchers and authors. It accepts both research and academic articles covering management, administration, and organizational development across the business, public, and educational sectors, as well as other related fields. The journal welcomes submissions within the following scope:
- Business Administration and Management
- Human resource and organizational management, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, and tourism.
- Educational Development and Administration
- Educational administration, leadership, and human resource development.
- Curriculum and learning management.
- Educational measurement and evaluation.
- Educational psychology.
- Public Administration and Public Policy
- Public administration, public sector management, local administration, and public policy.
- Multidisciplinary and Applied Social Sciences
- The application of management and educational concepts within social and cultural contexts.
- Development communication.

Citation Style
The journal uses the APA 7th edition citation style for articles published from Volume 24, Issue 2 (May – August 2026) onwards.
The Schedule of Publication
The journal publishes three volumes per year:
No. 1: January – April
No. 2: May – August
No. 3: September – December
The journal publishes 7–11 articles per issue in electronic format, ISSN (Online): 2651-1614, and has been produced since Vol. 16, No. 1 (2018)
Peer Review Policy
All accepted articles undergo a double-blind peer review by experts from various institutions. The requirements are as follows:
- Submissions before August 1, 2027: Reviewed by 3 experts.
- Submissions from August 1, 2027 onwards: Reviewed by at least 2 experts.
Open Access Policy
Journal of Administration, Organization, and Development (JAOD) is an open access journal licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0). Readers are free to access, download, and share the content for educational purposes at no cost and proper attribution is given.
Publication Fee (Thai/English Articles)
- Member of Hatyai University is 3,500 THB (Internal authors and students of Hatyai University, provided that they are designated as the primary author.)
- Non-member of Hatyai University is 4,000 THB (External authors, students, or graduate students of other institutions.)

- The publication fee is charged only once, after the manuscript has passed the initial quality assessment by the journal’s editorial team, and notification will be provided in writing exclusively through the ThaiJO system.
- The date of payment of the publication fee is considered the date of receiving the article
- If the quality assessment results indicate that the manuscript cannot be published, or if the author requests to withdraw the manuscript from the system after the publication fee has been paid, the Hatyai Academic Journal reserves the right not to refund the publication fee under any circumstances.
