Abstract
Strategies of Imparting Professionalism and the Qualification of the Mentor to Create a New Generation of Researchers
This article explains the importance of strategies for imparting professionalism, the mentor’s approach of being a researcher, a training outcome that resulted within context of a real circumstance of conducting research, and characteristics and roles of the mentor that help push new researchers to be professional. The article also reveals the mentor’s characteristics that help develop a new generation of researchers, and social theories of work socialization for readiness of ASEAN. Research is as tool for progressive development of the country, so building and developing research knowledge can equip the country’s developing for international competency and strengthening self-reliance. As an indicator of competency advantages, research development not only helps create the country role of world stage, builds an academic tendency for the future, but enables the country to seize more global market share.
