The future scenario of Koh Kerd Tambol administrative organizations, Phranakon Si Ayutthaya province : The viewpoint from Multi – local stakeholder

Abstract

          The objectives of this research article are to assess the community situation and to study the community scenario of Koh Kerd Tambol Administrative Organizations, Phranakon Si Ayutthaya Province. The research is a qualitative research using Rural Rapid Appraisal Techniques (RRA) which consist of community data surveys and focus group discussions (FGD) from 15 multi-local stakeholders. These include the representatives from local government organizations, community leaders, and the representatives from civil society organizations. The results indicated that there was a tremendous change of the situation in Koh Kerd Tambol Administrative Organization in terms of physical changes, economic, community health, societal and, cultural changes. Regarding the community scenario, in 5 years this area is likely to have a slowdown of the economy in the community, the industrial sector will be downsized or shut down, and there will be an increase in the values of western consumption. In 10 years, youth population will pay more attention to outside goods or services. In addition, the national political factor will affect the community development and the infrastructure and public services will be covered in more areas. In 15 years, the economy in the area will be more stable. The number of farmers in the areas will be very low and the movement of population outside the community will increase. Moreover, in 20 years, it is expected that the local area will become fully urbanized and there might be a new form of public transportation entering the area.
