Designing the OTOP Nawatviti tourism to promote social economy in Kamphang Saen

Abstract

          The purposes of designing OTOP Inno-Life tourism that aims to support and drive local economy of Kamphaeng Saen community are: 1) To study the possibilities of OTOP Inno-Life tourism to support and drive local economy of community 2) To design OTOP Inno-Life tourism 3) To support and drive local economy of community and 4) To propose guidelines to develop OTOP Inno-Life tourism plan for tourism authorities of Kamphaeng Saen district, Nakhon Pathom province. A qualitative methodology is applied by using theoretical notion of tourism to study the potential. The results reveal that the total number of 19 OTOP Inno-Life products of Kamphaeng Saen community can be divided into 2 categories which are food and appliances. The products have potential and strengths of high value, popularity, and marketing that are ready to sell in the consumer product market. Furthermore, these products can be presented in a long shopping street as the OTOP Inno-Life travel route in Kamphaeng Saen for “One Day Trip Shopping Tour” and “2 days 1 night trip in Kamphaeng Saen”. The interview results show that these activities attract the tourists as they are interested in joining the OTOP travel trip in Kamphaeng Saen. If this OTOP Inno-Life tourism project happens in the future, it will help to generate more income and encourage economic growth in Kamphaeng Saen community.
