Strengthens the Phaniat community in Phaniat Sub-district, Khok Samrong District, Lop Buri Province.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate participation that strengthens the Phaniat community in Phaniat Sub-district, Khok Samrong District, Lop Buri Province. The researcher employed the qualitative research method to study social, political, and cultural phenomena such as cooperation between community leaders, members, and youths. The important informants in the semi-structure interview included the Khok Samrong sheriff, the Khok Samrong assistant district officer, the chief administrator of the Phaniat subdistrict administrative organization, the deputy chief administrator of the Phaniat subdistrict administrative organization, chief of the chief administrator of the SAO subdivision, chief of the public works section, chief of the finance section, Phaniat villager elder and headman, two representatives from every villager, in a total of twenty-eight person.  

The conclusion uncovered four steps for strengthening the Phaniat community. 1) Decision-making: the chief administrator of the Phaniat SAO decided to initiate the project. 2) Executing the project: community leaders, youths, villagers, and other organizations participated in activities. 3) Beneficiary receivers: community leaders, youths, and villagers received a benefit from the public interest. 4) Assessment: the chief administrator of the Phaniat SAO, villages elders, and headmen participated in the project's evaluation.

The process of strengthening the Phaniat community began with narcotics, community fragmentation, and nonparticipation by all involved parties. Strengthening the Phaniat community began with problem sharing led by the chief administrator of the Phaniat SAO and Phaniat villages elders and then grew to include numerous collaborative projects. Community leaders are the key to community strengthening succession.

Strengthening the Phaniat community was the chief administrator of the Phaniat SAO's idea; the initial fund came from his pocket. Subsequently, Phaniat villagers' elders participated in and ran numerous activities that fostered community unity, reduced the narcotics problem, and earned recognition from Privy Councilor as a meritorious sub-district. After that, government, private, and independent organizations funded a variety of activities to ensure the project's continuation.
