The Study of development guidelines Cooperative Education Case Study: School of Architecture Bangkok University

Abstract

This research aims to study the factors affecting the project implementation and management processes as well as suggesting guidelines for the development of a Cooperative Education in Architectural Practice of the Bachelor of Architecture course. The above research is used from case studies of Cooperative Education in Architectural Practice School of Architecture, Bangkok University. From the past operations since the 2015-2019 academic year, a total of 5 years, the interviews and questionnaires were used as tools for the data collection. The results of the study are found that the satisfaction of the educational management was at a high level. Suggestions for implementing the project include the architectural professional skills in the cooperative preparation courses, the importance of interviewing students into cooperative projects, and selecting a more suitable company for students. Other suggestions are opening various courses in the summer semester to provide opportunities for the other students in various subjects to participate in a cooperative education program. Moreover, a company can prepare the common areas like a hot desk and educational institutions should provide an adequate budget as well as policy support. In addition, the workload is also distributed to all teachers in the department.
