Abstract

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate that the architecture in which Place identity affects the emotions and feelings of perception, experience and understanding of the occurrence and persistence of local phenomena, which indicates to "Place" of an informal space. ‘Talad Rom Hoob’, Samut Songkhram Province is used as a case study due to the phenomenon of occupying public space for commercial purposes. This results in the overlapping of space and function, which becomes a space with two meanings at the same time. From entering and exiting the train, it is necessary to fold and open the umbrella of the shop, which affects the occurrence of "Other Architecture" arising from situations of relations between people, context, activities and time, which is indicator of Place Identity. This research uses both qualitative and quantitative methods (embedded designs) by analyzing and synthesizing through the conceptual framework of Place and Sense of Place, which measure the level of feeling more or less towards the space.
