The Behavior of Five-Precept Practice of the People in Ban Wang Sub Sin Community in Cha Maeb Subdistrict, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Abstract

This research is aimed to study and compare the level of opinions towards the Five-Precept practice of the people in Ban Wang Sub Sin Community in Cha Maeb Subdistrict, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

The findings reveal that the behavior of the Five-Precept practice of the people in Ban Wang Sub Sin Community in Cha Maeb Subdistrict, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya in general is in a high level. The aspect of the interest in the Five-Precept Practice falls in the highest level. The less higher level falls on the aspect of the outcome of the Five-Precept Practice. The lowest score falls on the aspect of the Five-Precept.

The result of the comparison between the behavior of the Five-Precept Practice in Cha Maeb Subdistrict, Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya with the gender aspect in general shows the statistically and significantly difference at 0.01 level which is based on the previous hypothesis in which the male group shows a higher level of the behavior of the Five-Precept Practice than the female group.

 The result of the comparison between the behavior of the Five-Precept Practice with the education level in general shows the statistically and significantly difference at 0.05 level which is based on the previous hypothesis. The people in Ban Wang Sub Sin Community with the education level under the undergraduate degree shows a higher level than those with an undergraduate degree. When considering each aspect, the aspect of the interest in the Five-Precept Practice shows the statistically and significantly difference at 0.01 level. The aspect of the outcome of the Five-Precept Practice shows the statistically and significantly difference at 0.05 level. While in the aspect of the Five Precepts does not show any difference.
