Abstract

The article is part of research on “Wood carvings cultural products management: Shihe village, Yunnan province and Bantawai, Chiangmai province” The purpose of this paper is to study woodcarving culture products in Baantawai, Thailand and Shihe Village in China. As well as analyze the strengths of culture and industrial development to find methods and guidelines for the management of woodcarving cultural products that are appropriate and in line with local characteristics.


According to studies, it has been found that Baantawai woodcarving and Shihe Village woodcarving is a particularly important part of the skills of a nation or region. Since ancient times, it has reflected and presented the production and life, customs and customs of the local people, and is an important part of a high value commercial cultural industry. However,  At present, the woodcarving industry culture in Baantawai and Shihe Village still faces problems in terms of product variety, cultural meaning, production techniques and distribution. Therefore, in order to make the woodcarving products in Baantawai and Shihe Village have been developed in a good direction and continuously, it is necessary to find appropriate measures and guidelines for managing cultural products that are consistent with local characteristics. And the study found that 1. Sustainable conservation includes Instilling awareness of conservation of wood carvings culture and gather systematic woodcarving culture research data. 2. Urgent development includes solving the shortage of raw materials used for wood carving and Create new innovative categories for carved wood. 3. Promoting business development with efficiency includes 1) Determining the direction of industrial development 2) Public relations 3) Use advanced technology in the industry 4) Creating a carver team 5) Branding and 6) Development as a handicraft tourism industry. All of which play an important role in the development of highly carved wood products.
