The enlightenment of Thai’s OTOP development experience to the revitalization of Chinese village handicraft

Abstract

Under the guidance of the sufficient economic theory of the King Rama IX of Thailand, Thailand’s “One Tambon, One Product” strategy has accumulated many valuable experiences in the practice process. The experience of Thai handicraft protection and development has some valuable reference and learning. Based on the comparison of rural handicraft policies and development status between China and Thailand, as well as the case analysis of Thailand’s OTOP, this paper summarizes many experiences of rural handicraft protection and development in Thailand, and puts forward suggestions for the revitalization of rural handicraft in China.
