The design features and elements of Miao clothing patterns in Changning County, Yunnan Province, in order to design modern jewelry with Miao clothing characteristics

Abstract
This study explores modern jewellery design based on the art of Changning Miao costume, a representative item of China's national intangible cultural heritage. Through literature research, field research and creative research, the study compares the patterns, colours and materials of Changning Miao costumes. It also combines the context of contemporary art and the creative concept of "Jade of Yunnan" IP. The design of the jewellery is based on a combination of handmade and 3D printing techniques, and is in line with modern consumer aesthetics while preserving the artistic characteristics of Changning Miao costume.
