Abstract
This research aims to study and research the characteristics of ancient Thai patterns. From the water pattern in the Ayutthaya period and experimenting with Thai patterns from Lai Rotnam to analyze and apply together with the identity that shows the locality of Rayong To design and create ancient art patterns from the Rot Nam pattern and mixing it with the local patterns of Rayong Province. leading to new art patterns This design was inspired by "Ancient Ayutthaya period water pattern" which is beautiful, delicate and valuable. Water pattern has been used as art for decorating objects and appliances. Made mostly of wood and is made on metal Leather or woven bamboo, such as wood decorated with scriptures, Dhamma boxes, chests, Dhamma cabinets, with the Rotnam pattern, are considered valuable art objects in terms of fine arts. and is a source of knowledge for Thai people inherited from generation to generation Nowadays, we can see the beauty of the ancient water pattern at Various museums or temples that still exist
The researcher collected data in many ways. To use as a guideline for creativity By studying and analyzing various patterns in the Ayutthaya period. Then use it to design and create new patterns. Combined to become beautiful art. and research and find information on patterns that come from the local Rayong area. From analyzing various patterns and extracting the patterns. to see the direction shape of pattern and combining the patterns together creates new patterns. in the form of contemporary visual arts
Bringing Thai patterns from Lai Rotnam Mixed with the pattern of the area of Rayong Province. It is another part of creative research. For the patterns used to decorate each part You will choose to use the pattern according to the type. Or the function that is a characteristic of Thai pattern art, such as the Prajam Yam pattern, Kra Nok pattern, Kra Nok Flame Khrue Thao pattern, and Kan Khod pattern. As for the local patterns of Rayong Province, most of them are outstanding. and has the unique characteristics of the area, including ruby clams, krill, anchovies, Monthong durian, sea waves, seaside rocks, peacock tail flowers, chamuang leaves and chamuang balls, etc. when mixed together with the design There will be new patterns that are unique and local to Rayong Province as well. Resulting in a new form of art that can be further developed and applied to various community items and community promotion in other ways.
