The Effects of Personality Traits on Organizational Learning Competency and Organizational Success of Sub-District Administrative Organizations in Roi-Et Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the effects of personality traits on organizational learning competency; 2) to study the effects of organizational learning competency on organizational success; and 3) to study the relationship between personality traits and organizational climate influencing organizational learning competency. The sample in this study were 203 sub-district administrative organizations in Roi-Et province. The instruments employed for data collection were a questionnaire, and an in-depth interview. The results of the study revealed that 1) personality traits, especially conscientiousness and emotional stability affected organizational learning competency at the .01, and .10 levels of statistical significance; 2) organizational learning competency positively affected organizational success; and 3) organizational climate positively and directly affected organizational learning competency.
