Management System of Professional Basketball Players in Thailand Basketball League

Abstract
An objective of a research is to create a model of management of professional basketball players in the Thailand Basketball League by using EDFR (Ethnographic Delphi Futures Research) technique. This is in a study of the future management of professional basketball players in the Thailand Basketball League. The 26 key informants were purposively selected from the expertise involving in the management of the professional basketball league. Data analysis used median and quartile range. Besides, survey method is applied to collect data from 426 samples, selected by simple random sampling. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The researcher found the result that the appropriate system of Professional Basketball Players in Thailand Basketball League included 6 steps of SSS-DDR which were 1) Sourcing of Professional Basketball Players (S-Sourcing), 2) Screening of Professional Basketball Players (S-Screening), 3) Selection of Professional Basketball Players (S-Selection), 4) Deployment of Professional Basketball Players (D-Deployment), 5) Development of Professional Basketball Players (D-Development), and 6) Retention of Professional Basketball Players (R-Retention)
