The Study of Management Achievements in the Royal Development Study Center: A Case Study of Khao Hin Sorn

Abstract

                       This research aims to 1) study the management practices in Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center, 2) study the achievements of Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center, 3) study the relationship between the management practices and the achievements of Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center, and 4) propose a management model that leads to an increase in achievements and expansion of the success to villages around  Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center.

                       The population of this study included 182 officials working at Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center located in Khao Hin Sorn subdistrict, Pha Nom Sarakam District, Chachoengsao province. They were used for quantitative data collecting. Moreover 8 officials were used for qualitative data collecting. The research instruments were a questionnaire and interview questions. Descriptive statistics: the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation; and inferential statistics: Canonical correlation analysis were applied in data analysis. As a result, a path diagram was constructed.

                       Based on Canonical correlation analysis, it was found that the management evaluation of the center correlated highly with the achievements of the center. Path analysis showed a model for an increasing in the achievements and expansion of the success to villages around Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Center. The model revealed the elements in management evaluation of the center: goal orientation, and indicator-based performance evaluation. These elements directly influenced achievements in doing R&D research, and the interaction among academicians, practitioners, and people.
