Abstract

The purposes of this study were to 1) study the factors for Competency Appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts, 2) develop the Evaluation Model for Competency Appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts, and 3) try and evaluate the results of the operations according to the evaluation Model for Competency Appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts with a participatory action research. The sample groups were categorized into 3 phases; phase 1 included administrators, government teachers and educational personnel, totaling 99 people selected by purposive sampling, phase 2 included 7 experts selected by purposive sampling, and phase 3, 25 teachers who participated in the study. .There are four types of materials developed in this study included 1) a focus group discussion, 2) a questionnaire about the components of learner competency in professional skills 3) an assessment of the appropriateness of the components indicators for evaluating student Competency Appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts, and 4) a quality assessment form for assessing student Competency Appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts .The statistics used for data analysis included average, standard deviation, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and content analysis

The research findings revealed the following: firstly, the study on the components of learners' professional skills competencies in the Fine Arts curriculum at the vocational certificate level from Bunditpatanasilpa Institute identified key components and indicators. Based on expert opinions, the learners' professional skills competencies in the Fine Arts vocational certificate curriculum consist of 4 components and 7 indicators as follows: factor 1: knowledge with 2 indicators, factor 2: skills with 2 indicators, factor 3: application ability with 2 indicators and, factor 4 artistic work with 1 indicator. The results of the structural validity check for the component indicators showed that the model aligned well with the empirical data. The weights of all four components were positive and statistically significant at the .01 level, ranging from 0.94 to 1.00. Similarly, the weights of the seven indicators were positive and statistically significant at the .01 level, ranging from 0.40 to 1.00. This demonstrates that the confirmatory component model has structural validity. Secondly, the results of competency appraisal of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts examining suitability and feasibility by experts, the accuracy standards was at the highest level (equation = 4.64, S.D =0.34) and the feasibility standards was at the highest level (equation = 4.71, S.D = 0.41). And thirdly, the results of try out and evaluate found that the results of operations according to Evaluation Model for Competency of professional skills of the Vocational Certificate Curriculum in Fine Arts with a participatory action research in term of accuracy (equation = 4.60, S.D =0.57) ,feasibility (equation = 4.54, S.D =0.56) was at a high level, utility (equation = 4.46, S.D =0.49) was at a high level, and propriety (equation = 4.39, S.D =0.65) was at a high level.
