Educational Innovation Areas Specific Teaching Model in Thailand: Case Study in Special Economic Development Zone, Kanchanaburi Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to 1) assess the need for developing a teaching model 2) develop a teaching model 3) study the implementation of the ICPPPP teaching model to promote innovative thinking skills for high school students. The sample group used in this research were 38 students of Mathayom 5 at Udomsitthi Suksa School, Kanchanaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Semester 1 of the Academic Year 2023. The research instruments were 1) a questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.98; 2) an innovative thinking skills test with an objective reliability of 0.72 and a subjective Reliability value of 0.87; and 3) a satisfaction assessment form with a congruence index 1.00. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test.
The results of the research were as follows: 1. the assessment results of the needs for developing the ICPPPP teaching model indicated that, in terms of teachers, the prioritized needs were: 1) preparation, 2) media and learning resource management, 3) measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes, and 4) learning management. ;2. the development of the ICPPPP teaching model consists of five components: (1) the principle of the model, (2) the purpose of the model, (3) the content, (4) the learning management process of the model, and (5) measurement and evaluation. Overall, the model was at the most appropriate level;3. the study on the implementation of the ICPPPP teaching model found that students’ innovative thinking skills were significantly higher after the learning process at the 0.05 significance level. Additionally, the overall student satisfaction was at a high level.
