ความอยู่รอดและผลกำไรของหลักสูตรการศึกษา: การปรับค่าธรรมเนียมหลักสูตรในกรณีที่อุปสงค์และอุปทานมีความไม่แน่นอน

บทความวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ผลกระทบของการปรับค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษาที่มีต่อผลกำไรและความน่าจะเป็นในการอยู่รอดของหลักสูตรการศึกษาโดยใช้แบบจำลองทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ที่กำหนดให้อุปสงค์และอุปทานของจำนวนนิสิตได้รับอิทธิพลจากปัจจัยภายนอกที่ไม่คาดฝัน จนส่งผลให้กลไกตลาดไม่สามารถปรับตัวเข้าสู่ดุลยภาพ จากผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผลกำไรเฉลี่ยของหลักสูตรการศึกษามีลักษณะเป็นสมการฟังก์ชันพหุนามกำลังสามของค่าธรรมเนียมหลักสูตรการศึกษา และความเสี่ยงจากการดำเนินงานหลักสูตรสามารถเขียนเป็นสมการพหุนามกำลังสองของค่าธรรมเนียมหลักสูตรการศึกษา ส่งผลให้ค่าธรรมเนียมที่ก่อให้เกิดจุดคุ้มทุนการดำเนินงานหลักสูตรมี 2 ค่า และค่าธรรมเนียมที่ก่อผลกำไรสูงสุดจะมีค่ามากกว่าค่าธรรมเนียมที่ทำให้หลักสูตรมีความน่าจะเป็นในการอยู่รอดสูงสุดเสมอ ด้วยเหตุนี้ผู้บริหารหลักสูตรอาจเผชิญกับปัญหาในการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างผลกำไรสูงสุดของหลักสูตรและความอยู่รอดของหลักสูตร สำหรับแนวทางการบริหารทางการเงินของหลักสูตรที่เหมาะสมนั้น ผู้บริหารหลักสูตรควรปรับค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษาด้วยความระมัดระวังภายใต้ 5 สถานการณ์ที่แตกต่างกัน มิเช่นนั้นการปรับค่าธรรมเนียมทางการศึกษาอาจส่งผลให้กำไรและความน่าจะเป็นในการอยู่รอดของหลักสูตรลดลงในที่สุด
