Abstract

The objectives of the research were; to study the elements and indicators of teacher’s competency on authentic assessmentof school, to study the present condition and desirable condition of teacher’s competency on authentic assessment, and to develop a program to enhance teacher’s competency on authentic assessment. The subjects of this research were selected according to the set criteria, the total amount of 331 persons including the teachers under.The research tools were an evaluative form to assess the elements and indicators of teacher’s competency on authentic assessment, a set of questionnaire to assess present condition and desirable condition of teacher’s competency on authentic assessment and an assessment form to evaluate a program to enhance teacher’s competency on authentic assessment program. The statistics employed in this study were mean and standard deviation, with the results asfollows. 1) The elements of teacher’s competency on authentic assessmentof school consist of 3 components and 16 indicators; 1) knowledge consisted of 8 indicators, 2) skill consisted of 4 indicators, and 3) personal attributes consisted of 4 indicators. All of them were suitable at the more level and possible at the most level2)The present condition and desirable condition of teacher’s competency on authentic assessmentof school revealed that the present condition of
all components and each one was at the more leveland the desirable condition of all components were at the most level3)The program to enhance teacher’s competency on authentic assessment assessedof schoolshowed that it was suitable as a whole at the most level and was possible as a whole at the more level
