Public Health Staffs’ Participation in the Community Environment Health Management in Regional Health 5

This research aimed to study the participation of public health staffs the community environmental management in Regional Health 5 and compare the difference of participation with variable study i.e. age, gender, educational level, work position, work period and workplace. The sample group were 96 public health staffs. The questionnaire is a tool for collecting data and would be collected during November - December 2017 and analyzed by the descriptive
statistics and t-test. The study results from the sample group of 96 public health staffs found that the majority were female (51.0 per cent), aged 36-50 years (51.0 per cent), graduated Bachelor’s degree (70.8 per cent), worked as the public health academics (58.3 per cent), had less than five years of work experience (39.6 per cent) and worked in sub-district health promoting hospitals (52.1 per cent). Public health staffs’ participation in the community environment health management was moderate level (51.0 percent) They participated at the most level in aspect of following-up on the news and information about the environment health problems/risks with the effects on health. They participated at the least level in the aspect of co-organizing the conferences to give knowledge to the agencies and related sectors about the discovered problems/risks and the environment health management in the area. The result of the comparison via t-test analysis showed that different age, gender, educational level, work position, work period and workplace had no different participations in the environment health risk management with statistical significance (p-value ≥ .05). Therefore, the academic centers and related agencies should cooperate to organize the conferences/trainings to pass on knowledge bases and new innovations concerning the community environment health management to the local public health staffs and related persons. Moreover, there should be a visit to boost energy in the area, encouraging the public health staffs’
