มโหรีอีสาน: จากดนตรีถวายเทวสถานแห่งราชสำนักเขมรสู่ดนตรีวิถีชีวิตชาวอีสาน Mahori Isan Music: from the Khamar royal temple to the Isan way of life)

บทความนี้มุ่งนำเสนอความสัมพันธ์ของมโหรีพื้นบ้านอีสานกับมโหรีเขมรในด้านเครื่องดนตรีและบทบาทหน้าที่ในสังคมจากอดีตถึงปัจจุบัน  จากการศึกษาพบว่ามโหรีพื้นบ้านอีสานเป็นวัฒนธรรมการดนตรีที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากมโหรีเขมร ซึ่งในอดีตใช้เป็นดนตรีเพื่อถวายการบูชาแด่เทวสถาน  ปัจจุบันใช้ในบริบทการประกอบงานมงคลของชาวบ้าน  เช่น  งานบุญประเพณีต่างๆ  งานกินเลี้ยงหรืองานสนุกสนานรื่นเริงทั่วไป  ปัจจุบันมโหรีพื้นบ้านอีสานบางส่วนได้ปรับเปลี่ยนบทบาทให้สอดคล้องและครอบคลุมบริบททางสังคมมากขึ้น  ทั้งที่เกี่ยวข้องกับศาสนา  วิถีชีวิตชาวบ้าน  ทั้งงานมงคล  และงานอวมงคล  ส่งผลให้มีการปรับเปลี่ยนเครื่องดนตรีที่ใช้ในวงมโหรีอีสานเพื่อความเหมาะสมในการใช้งานตามบทบาทที่เปลี่ยนไป

Abstract

This article aimed to present the relationship between Isan Mahori and Khmer Mahori in terms of the instruments and the role in society from the past to present. The result of the study showed that Isan Mahori is a musical culture that has been influenced by Khmer Mahori. In the past, Mahori music was used to worship gods. Currently, in Khmer society, Mahori was used in the context of the folk traditions such as ceremonies or banquet. In the Northeast of Thailand, the roles of Isan Mahori were modified for using in a broader social contexts related to religion, lifestyle, auspicious and inauspicious ceremonies. As a result, modification in Isan Mahori’s instruments existed in order to be applied in the changed roles.
