The Development and Invention Prasartphung Parade in Sakon Nakorn Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research are; to study the background and its development of the parade in The Development and Invention Prasartphung Parade in Sakon Nakorn Province. This research is Qualitative using two methods of study; from the related documents and data collections processing with the existing tools such as surveying, observing, and interviewing. This research will be presented in descriptive analysis.
The result of study found that The Development and their Constructing Prasartphung Parade in Sakon Nakorn Province is one of the traditions that have been practiced for a long time showing the faith and the belief in Buddhism that the ancestor has encouraged and adhered. However, it has become a part of ways of life. Heet Sib Sorng - Klong Sib See Tradition indicated that people in the community has been ruled and joined together. When the festival arrives, the members of families gather to do activities altogether. Exactly, it makes people in the community love and knows each other more often, and the community would be strong as well as when any activities related to religion. Finally, people will believe in the tradition and the
tradition allows people proudly showing their ethnic group. According to Prasartphung Parade in Sakon Nakorn Province, we have seen the delegates of various ethnic groups on their performance. At present, it found that there are 15 parades consisted of the name of the ethnic group, the name of the show, the dance parade, the ancient Wax Castle parade, the ways of life parade, however, these parade has been changed and developed to be more diversify and beautiful. This tradition has also been supported and promoted as annual tradition by Tourist Authority of Thailand in order to urge people doing activities together and to preserve their local tradition. Keywords : construction, Prasartphung Parade, Sakon Nakorn Province
