ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาษากัม-ไทและภาษาเย่วถิ่นกว๋างฝู่ (The Relationship between Kam-Tai Languages and Guangfu Yue)

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างภาษากลุ่มกัม-ไทและภาษาเยว่ถิ่นกว๋างฝู่ ด้วยวิธีวิเคราะห์เสียงปฏิภาคของคำศัพท์ในภาษากัม ภาษาปู้ยี ภาษาจ้วง ภาษาไทย และภาษาเยว่ถิ่นกว๋างฝู่ และการจัดรูปแบบของเสียงปฏิภาคเพื่อสันนิษฐานคำร่วมเชื้อสาย โดยมีสมติฐานว่าคำศัพท์ของทั้ง5 ภาษา มีทั้งเสียงปฏิภาคที่เป็นระบบและไม่เป็นระบบ ชุดของเสียงปฏิภาคที่เป็นระบบ อาจเป็นคำร่วมเชื้อสายที่แสดงให้เห็นว่าภาษากัม-ไทและภาษาเยว่ถิ่นกว๋างฝู่มีความสัมพันธ์ทางเชื้อสายกันมาก่อนผู้วิจัยนำรายการคำศัพท์พื้นฐานของภาษากัม-ไท จำนวน 1,228 คำ ไปสัมภาษณ์ ผู้บอกภาษาเยว่ถิ่นกว๋างฝู่ จำนวน 4 คน ที่ได้คัดเลือกไว้โดยควบคุมตัวแปรทางสังคม คือ อายุ เพศ การศึกษา อาชีพ และภูมิลำเนา เมื่อได้ข้อมูลแล้วผู้วิจัยจึงได้คัดเลือกคำที่มีเสียงและความหมายคล้ายกันทั้ง 5 ภาษามีทั้งสิ้น 611 คำ นำมาวิเคราะห์เสียงปฏิภาคของพยัญชนะ สระ และวรรณยุกต์เพื่อพิจารณารูปแบบของเสียงปฏิภาคและสันนิษฐานคำร่วมเชื้อสายจากรูปแบบของเสียงปฏิภาคที่เป็นระบบผลการวิจัยพบว่าคำที่มีเสียงและความหมายคล้ายกันในภาษากัมภาษาปู้ยี ภาษาจ้วง ภาษาไทย และภาษาเย่วถิ่นกว๋างฝู่จากจำนวน 611 คำ มีเสียงปฏิภาคที่เป็นระบบและสันนิษฐานว่าอาจเป็นคำร่วมเชื้อสายจำนวน 400 คำ 1 แบ่งเป็นคำร่วมเชื้อสายแท้ 250 คำและคำร่วมเชื้อสายที่น่าสงสัย 150 คำ ซึ่งตรงตามสมมติฐานของงานวิจัย นอกจากนั้นยังพบว่า คำร่วมเชื้อสายอยู่ในหมวดคำกริยามากที่สุด รองลงมาคือหมวดคำนามและหมวดคำวิเศษณ์

ABSTRACT

This thesis aims to study the relationship among Kam Buyi Zhuang,Thai and Guangfu Cantonese languages. The hypothesis is that Kam-Taiand Guangfu Cantonese languages are ethnic relations due to the similarlityof word pronouncing and meaning, and prove to be the cognate words.In this research, a wordlist of 1,228 words were used to interview 4informants of Guangfu Cantonese controlling. social factors of age, gender,eduction, occupation and hometown. The 611 words which have similarlity ofword pronouncing and meaning were selected. Then analyzed by the consonants,vowels and tones correspondence. Based on the analysis, the patternsof sound correspondence of these items and their relations were determined.The results showed that 611 words are similarity of word pronouncingand meaning. They are 400 cognate words that can be divided into2 graps of 250 true cognate words and 150 suspicious cognate words.They also found that the most cognat words are verb and then noun andadverb secondary.In conclusions, the results therefore, justifies the hypothesis thatis Kam-Tai and Guangfu Cantonese may be cognate relations due to thesimilarity of word pronouncing and meaning.
