การเปลี่ยนแปลงของนิทานสู่หนังสือการ์ตูนนิทานไทย (The Evolution of Folktales to Thai Comics)

งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบวรรณกรรมนิทานไทยกับหนังสือการ์ตูนนิทาน โดยศึกษาเปรียบเทียบนิทานเรื่อง กากี ไกรทองพระอภัยมณี และรามเกียรติ์ กับหนังสือการ์ตูนนิทานไทยจำนวน 6 เรื่องได้แก่ เรื่องกากี สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์แอคชั่นเฟรม เรื่องไกรทอง (Romanceof the Crocodile Slayer) สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์บุรพัฒน์ เรื่องไกรทอง (TheCrocodile Crisis) สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์คอมมิกส์เควสท์ เรื่องรามเกียรติ์(Ramayana: the Miracle war) สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์อมรินทร์คอมิกส์ เรื่องหนุแมน สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์บุรพัฒน์ และเรื่องอภัยมณีซาก้า สำนวนของสำนักพิมพ์เนชั่นเอ็ดดูเทนเมนท์ผลการวิจัยพบว่าเมื่อมีการนำเสนอนิทานใหม่ มีการเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดของเรื่อง การเพิ่มความ การลดความ การสับสนความ การสลับความ และการยืมความ ซึ่งเกิดจากความจงใจของผู้เขียนที่มีปัจจัยมาจากธุรกิจทางการค้าที่ต้องการสร้างสรรค์ให้เป็นเรื่องขนาดยาวและให้เข้ากับเยาวชนซึ่งเป็นผู้อ่านกลุ่มเป้าหมายหลักโดยเฉพาะเพศชาย จึงมีการปรับเปลี่ยนเนื้อหาของเรื่องให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทของสังคมไทย ที่มีการผสมผสานกับวัฒนธรรมต่างชาติ

ABSTRACT
The purposes of this study are to compare the former folktaleversions with the Thai cartoon folktales, and to appreciate the characteristictsof social cultures reflect in the Thai folktale cartoons. The researcherchose to study 4 former stories: Khaki, Krai-Thong, Phra Aphaimaneeand Ramayana with 6 Thai folktale cartoons: Khaki published by Actiionframe publishing; The Crocodile Crisis published by Comics Questpublishing; (The Crocodile Crisis Romance of the crocodile slayer) publishedby Buraphat Comics; Ramayana : The Miracle war published byAmarin Comics; Chalanjor the Legend published by Buraphat Comics;and Aphaimanee Saga published by Nation Edutainment Co.,Ltd.The research found the adaptation of the folktale versions in thecartoon versions. The adaptations include changing details, adding details,omitting details, alternating, confusing and borrowing. The cartoonistdeliberately changed some details of the story to match with the comicstrips’ requirement and to make it more attractive for young readers, especiallyboys. This is to improve the sales of these comic books. Thesemodifications of the contents of the stories were made to suit the presentThai social contexts which had been mixed with international cultures,under a selective process supervised by the editor.
