A Study of Online Training Model in Computing Science to Enhance Teacher’s Competency to the 21st Century Learning for Teachers in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) study of online training model in computing science to enhance teacher’s competency to the 21st Century learning for teachers in Nakhon Ratchasima province, and (2) evaluation of satisfaction towards the online training model in computing science. This research was conducted online training in collaboration between the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) and the Faculty of Science and Technology in Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University. This research was under the project of enhancing teacher competency of modern teachers for 21st Century learning in the computing science. This online training involved 4 generations of 20 people each, from 5-28 May 2020. Therefore, this research population were 83 people and its sample group with a sampling selection are 68 people. The research tools included electronic tools used for online training and the satisfaction questionnaire with a 5-level scale. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean and percentage of satisfaction. The result found that this online training model used electronic tools such as Google, LINE, Google Site, Google Docs, Padlet and YouTube. When we evaluated a satisfactory level in this online training model was very good with a mean of 4.26. When considering each aspect of satisfaction. The potential for 21st century learning with a mean satisfaction of 4.42. The online training tools and materials with a mean satisfaction of 4.31. The benefits of online training and its implementation with a mean satisfaction of 4.29.
