This research aims at investigating the needs of tourists visiting national museums in Bangkok Metropolis. The qualitative research was conducted by interview on 50 Thai tourists, consisting of 10-12 persons, who visited each of the 4 national museums in Bangkok Metropolis which are Bangkok National Museum, National Museum of Royal Barges, The National Gallery, and Silpa Bhirasri National Museum. The data were analyzed in descriptive statistics. The results suggest that the tourists needed 3 things to be additionally provided at the national museums in Bangkok. The first aspect is the exhibition. The antiques or valuable objects should be displayed with stories and descriptions. There should be texts and media to facilitate tourists’ understanding which should be concise, easy to understand and made in different languages. The exhibitions should also be rotated. The second aspect is the place. There should be the rest area for tourists which is separated from the display zone. There should be enough tables and chairs with well-ventilated environment. The exhibition building should be clean and comfortable with sufficient parking lots and specific places for the elderly. The third aspect is facilities. There should be standard restaurants and the quality and prices of food and drinks should be affordable. The souvenir shops should sell the items that are relevant to the museums at reasonable prices. Toilets should be modern and clean. Parking space, walkway for the elderly, and ATMs should be appropriately arranged.
