Principal Components and Factors of Working Attribute of Employee in Establishment of the Digital Age

Abstract
Advances in technology and digitalization in the globalized world have affected economic and society of all countries. The adoption of technology in the workplace makes the people who want to work today recognizing the characteristics of the workforce according to the attitude of the digital workplace in order to meet the needs of entrepreneurs. The aims of this study, therefore, focus on the principal components and factors that are relevant to the work environment of the digital age business operation. The data was collected from 400 entrepreneurs and employees from 18 establishments in Bangkokyai area. Because of the similarity of each aspect, a principal component analysis method is used to reduce the dimensions of the data set and extracted the key components that can account for a large variation of working attribute associated with being a business operation in the digital age. After obtaining the principal components, we applied the K-Means classification method.The results found that a characteristic of self-development and professional development, including the use of information technology and innovation in overall work, aspect of synthetic thinking, leadership and team work communication, and the use of language are all of them have a high average. As for the analysis of the principal component factors, it was found that there were 2 principal components which are the use of information technology and innovation in workplace and the leadership and teamwork. Both principal components accounted for 68.74 percent of the total variance of all characteristics in the digital establishment's attitudes. In addition, the clustering results can be found that there are two significant groups: the communication traits within the organization and the various professional skills development. Based on the empirical results, it can be implied that the current characteristics are all at a high level. However, the employee should be developed continuously especially some features that need to be developed urgently, such as communication within the organization and the development of a wide range of professional skills.
