Opinions of Matthayom Suksa Student Parents’ towards Student Care and Supporting System at Tha Nuea School, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the opinions of Matthayom Suksa student parents’ towards the student care and supporting system and to study problems and recommendations towards the student care and supporting system.  Instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire.   Data were analyzed by using percentage, mean, and standard deviation.The research was found that the opinions of Matthayom Suksa student parents’ towards student care and supporting system at Tha Nuea School, Mae On District, Chiang Mai Province, the level of performance were overall at a high level.  When considering by each aspect sorting from high to low were as follows: the highest average was the students’ promotion at a high level, followed by preventing and solving student problems, student screening,  knowing individual students, and student referral, respectively.

As regards the recommendations of Matthayom Suksa student parents’ towards student care and supporting system were as follows:  the school should report the students’ study results by individually to the parents, stakeholders should be invited for participation to propose the useful recommendations to assist students, schools should have parents board meetings to determine guidelines for student screening group, school should screen students every year to solve the students’ problems promptly, schools should encourage students to participate in academic skills competitions both inside and outside schools, and schools should develop plans for activity  management to promote and develop students clearly, schools should take care of students closely and thoroughly to prevent problems, school should provide the meetings for administrators, teachers, and parents to find the guidelines to prevent and solve student problems, schools should communicate with parents to make an understanding the reasons for student referral and schools should refer students who had problems to experts to solve student problems
