Learning Achievement of Project-Based Learning in Occupations and Technology Learning Area for the Sixth Graders , Wat Songkratiam School.

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) compare learning achievement of 30 sixth graders at Watsongkratiam School before and after the learning management using project-based instruction for Occupations and Technology learning area and 2) to study the learners’ behavior. The instruments included lesson plans based on project-based instruction, achievement test for the sixth graders based on project-based instruction, and an observational form of learners’ behavior. Statistics used in this study were Mean, Standard Deviation, and t-test. It was found that: 1) The participants’ scores of learning achievement in Occupations and Technology after the learning management based on project-based instruction was significantly higher than the scores before the learning at the .05 statistical level. 2) The learners’ behavior was observed at ‘very good’ level.
