The Strategies of Persuaive Speech Used by Characters in Sen Mai Si Ngern of V.Vinichchaikul

Abstract

The analysis The Strategies of Persuaive Speech Used by Characters in Sen Mai See Ngern of V.Vinichchaikul aimed to analyze the Strategies of persuasion of the characters in Sen Mai Si Ngern composed by V. Vinichayakul involving the classification of characters in persuasion context and persuasion process, and propose the findings in descriptive analysis.

          The classification of characters in persuasion context indicated that the persuasive character and the persuaded character could be the main character, secondary main character, or minor role, and male or female character. Most of the persuasive characters were the main character. In Sen Mai Si Ngern composed by V. Vinichayakul. Regarding the persuasion principle, there were six types of principle used by the characters, which were audience-centered approach, partisanship principle, factual reference, satisfaction principle, power of language, exemplification.
