The Guidelines for the Development of Sangkha’s Sub-district Training Center Management in Sopprap District, Lampang Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) Investigate the Sangkha's roles and responsibilities in the management of a sub-district training center; 2) Investigate the management of Sangkha's sub-district training center in Sopprap district, Lampang province; 3) Present guidelines for the development of Sangkha's sub-district training center management in Sopprap district, Lampang province. This is a qualitative study, with documentary analysis, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions as techniques. There are a total of twenty significant informants. The management of Sangkha's Sub-District Training Center is being improved.

The results of this research found that: The administration of Sangkha's sub-district training center has the following functions and responsibilities: 1) Contribution to spiritual and developmental leadership; 2) Roles in education and training; 3) The role of local arts and culture in religious ceremonies. The management of Sangkha's sub-district training center can be divided in the following aspects: 1) the promotion of morality; 2) the management of health and hygiene; 3) career promotion for the people; 4) the promotion of peace; 5) education welfare; 6) public welfare; 7) the promotion of Kataññūkatavedī (gratitude); 8) The promotion of Sāmaggī (unity). According to research, management development is successful if it fulfills these four criteria: 1) knowledge; 2) cooperation; 3) budget; 4) structural responsibilities. Sangkha's sub-district training center must be aware of the actual happiness of the people in the community by volunteering to help and participating in all sectors to improve people's lives.
