Local Female Politicians’ Roles Enhancement for effective Management of Local Administrative Organizations in Upper Northern Region

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to analyze the general condition and problems of local women politicians; 2) to study the promotion of the roles of local women politicians; 3) to study the promotion of the roles of local women politicians by integrating Buddhist principles. It is a mixed method research including: Quantitative research from samplings and qualitative research from key informants and a focus group discussion were analyzed by expository and descriptive data.

The results of this research found that: 1) the general condition of local women politicians was more recognized for their role in politics from knowledge, abilities and potential to work effectively making it possible to play political roles in society with dignity. The problem of obstacles raised from attitudes towards gender dimensions and equality. It also raised from traditional values, traditions, cultures and attitudes; 2) the promotion of the role of women politicians found that Overall, the average was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that innovation management and the promotion of local cultural traditions at the highest level followed by participation and interaction with the community Responsibility towards social expectations and operational aspects according to the framework of missions, duties, respectively. Guidelines for promoting roles, operational competencies should be developed in accordance with the framework of missions, duties and principles of good governance. Enhancing the strength of the local participatory, developing the learning resources for preserving cultural traditions and empowering personnel to participate in driving the community to become an innovative community; 3) The promotion of roles by integrating with the Second Papanika Dharma principles found that Overall, the average was at the highest level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the expertise was at the highest level, followed by having a wide vision and good human relations respectively. Guidelines for promoting roles, should emphasize creative thinking skills, learning to develop and practice yourself constantly, and strengthen human relations to make each person work willingly. Because that it was self-management, people management, and effective management.
