Development of Computer-Assisted Instruction on Creation of Documents with Microsoft Word Program to Improve Academic Achievement of Grade 3 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to create and find the effectiveness of computer-assisted instruction on creating documents with the Microsoft Word program, to improve the academic achievement of grade 3 students and find out their efficiency according to the criteria of 80/80 2) to compare the post-test achievement of the computer-Assisted Instruction lesson on using the Microsoft Word program creation documents with Microsoft Word of 80 percent. 3) to observe the satisfaction of grade 3 students who are studying the computer-assisted instruction lesson on using the Microsoft Word program. the sample using class random sampling were grade 3 students. of these, 21 people studied computer creation of documents with the Microsoft Word program. the instruments of this study were: 1) computer-assisted instruction on creating documents with Microsoft Word 2) an achievement test. 3) a student satisfaction questionnaire about the computer. data were statistically analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The result of this research found that:

1. The efficiency of computer Assisted Instruction lesson on using Microsoft Word program was at 87.64/91.67, which was at the set criteria.
2. Post-test’s achievement test results of the students studying the computer-Assisted Instruction lesson on the Creation of Documents with the Microsoft Word program. Along with statistical significance at the level of .05.
3. The mean of satisfaction of the students studying using the computer-Assisted Instruction lesson on creation of documents with the Microsoft Word program was at a good level at a mean of 4.76.
