Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) determine the efficiency of Active Learning plans integrated with Padlet for developing Vietnamese speaking skills of Thai undergraduate students according to the 75/75 criterion, 2) compare Vietnamese speaking skills of Thai undergraduate students before and after using Active Learning with Padlet, and 3) study Thai undergraduate students' satisfaction towards Active Learning with Padlet. The population consisted of 194 Thai undergraduate students enrolled in Vietnamese for Communication course in 2 sections during the first semester of Academic year 2024. The sample group, selected through simple cluster sampling by drawing lots using class sections as sampling units, comprised 62 Thai undergraduate students. The research instruments were: 1) eight Active Learning lesson plans integrated with Padlet, 2) eight sets of learning exercises, 3) Vietnamese speaking skills test, and 4) a satisfaction questionnaire on Active Learning with Padlet. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and paired samples t-test.
The findings revealed that: 1) the efficiency of Active Learning plans integrated with Padlet was 81.88/76.18, which met the established 75/75 criterion, 2) the mean score of students' Vietnamese speaking skills before learning was 16.68 and after learning was 30.47. The comparison showed that the post-learning speaking skills were significantly higher than pre-learning at .05, and 3) the overall satisfaction of Thai undergraduate students towards Active Learning with Padlet was at the highest level (M = 4.68, SD = 0.50).
