A Study of Approach for Enhancing the School Administrators’ Roles for Promoting Classroom Research under Angthong Primary Educational Service Area

Abstract

The purposes of this research were : 1) to study the school administrators’ roles for promoting classroom research under Angthong Primary Educational Service Area, and 2) to propose the approach for enhancing the school administrators’ roles for promoting classroom research under Angthong Primary Educationals Ervice Area. The samples included 110 administrators, obtained by using simple random sampling via drawing, and  5 experts. The research instruments were five-scale questionnaire with the reliability of .96 and semi-structured interview.  The data were statistically analyzed for mean, standard deviation and content analysis.  The results indicated that : 1) in overall, the school administrators’ roles for promoting classroom research under Angthong Primary Educational Service Area was at high level; 2) the approach for enhancing the school administrators’ roles for promoting classroom research under the Office of Angthong Primary Educational Service Area contained 4 aspects with total 20 lists of practice, including 5 lists of leader roles, 6 lists of promotion and management, 3 lists of researchers’ development, and 6 lists of attracting motivation and encouragement. All of these aspects were required to have important lists of practice, including  1) the original governmental agencies should increase the  awareness of the educational administrators regarding the importance of classroom research, 2) the schools should also increase the awareness of the educational administrators regarding the importance of classroom research, and 3) the educational administrators themselves should have self-awareness in the importance of classroom research.
